hmm.. a rainy monday

Rain is good in lots of ways.  It helps the flowers grow.  It looks and sounds pretty cool when looking out of a window.  But, it also makes the grass grow… a lot.  I wasn’t able to mow the lawn for my neighbor this weekend, so I told him I would do it today, but the rain picked up and I am now obligated to do it tomorrow.

It’s crazy how it only takes a week for the perfect, well-kept lawn to become a “he-should-really-mow-his-yard” sort of lawn.  Anyone who has ever done yard work knows about that.. ;)

It’s the end of another weekend…

I’ve been pretty tired the last few days.  I just got back from Wake yesterday night, just in time for church this morning.  I’ve yet to read the 80 pages of a book assigned Friday due tomorrow, and I’m getting ready to head back to church for a volunteer event.  I played a lot of piano today (which I just got into, but I really like it) and have some fun tunes in my head.

But, Pastor’s sermon today really left me encouraged, and I’m ready to start the week off making small steps to prepare for the big picture!

Wake Forest

I’m up at Wake Forest University for a Latin club convention this weekend.  I’m not really a big fan of latin, but I really love it up here.  The campus is just beautiful.  I spent some time with God last night on this beautiful balcony overlooking a courtyard.  I’m so excited to see my God’s plan for my life unfolding before my eyes.  This place is just amazing.

I definately want to remember this place when I’m looking at colleges in a few years.

isn’t music great?

Ahh… Playing guitar is my passion.  And nothing is more satisfying than turning up my amp to exhilarating volumes and pumping out some vibes.  Pretty loud vibes too-  A neighbor two doors down asked me about my playing a week ago and said it sounded good.  maybe I should turn it down a bit… ;)

I’m new at this.

Hello blogosphere!  I’ve decided to try to keep a blog going.  We will see how long this lasts.  Here goes!

My Facebook has been malfunctioning for about a week now, and it’s Windows’ fault.  Apple is soo much better at satisfying their customers than good ol’ Microsoft.

It’s weeks like this that make me really want a Mac.

  = not cool

mm

I decided i like coffee a lot the other day.  And not just Starbucks store coffee either.  No.  the real deal.  The kind you buy in a bag from Starbucks and make at home.  it’s super energizing and kept me awake for the first time in a while during First Period.  coffee is good.

plus we have some left over Starbucks Christmas cups that I’ve used.  Nothing like getting people excited for the holidays in April!  I even sang a Christmas carol the other day while drinking from that cup.
