Fridays are nice.

Wow, It’s been while since I’ve last posted.  Life’s been pretty crazy with school wrapping up and church occupying my weekends.  So, I’m just going to post some of my recent thoughts.

I’ve been getting into Coldplay’s music, with all the hype about their new album coming out soon.  I’d never really listened to them much before this month, but I like their sound on Viva La Vida and Fix You.  I’m looking into buying some more of their music, and if anyone out there knows of any great songs, don’t hesitate to let me know. 

I’ve been thinking lots about God’s purpose in my life lately.  I’ve always thought I wanted to do something with music, whether leading worship, playing in a Christian band, or working behind the scenes to make it all happen.  But, it’s hard for me to see what God has in store for the years ahead.  I feel like I’m in an awkward place right now, feeling like I need to be doing more for God, but not having the resources or experience to do it.  “What’s next?” seems to be a reoccuring question in my mind a lot.

Transition periods are tough.

Rockin’ Friday Night

So tonight I had the pleasure of attending the Annual Providence High School Battle of the Bands. yes! Actually, I didn’t really get into it a whole lot until the last band got up there.  Up to that point, the other bands weren’t very memorable, they were just really loud.  But, then these guys get up there, and they casually prove to you that they’re way out of their league.  And, they just had it all together & sounded great.  Plus, their guitar player was amazing.  So, I had a blast listening to him play.

… And, The Office was hilarious yesterday.  I was sad to find out that it was the season finale, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.  Dwight is hilarious.  End of story.

Tiredness..

These last few weeks have been fairly slow.  The weekends are always nice though.  Oh, but they’re so tiring.  We took our boat out for the first time this year, and I had forgotten how nice it is on the lake in the Spring and Summer.  And, between the lazy Saturdays and the busy Sundays, it all evens out in the end.

And, coffee helps me get a fresh start on the days I hit the snooze button more than 4 times.  :)

 

 

Yeah!

Sunday was a lot of fun.  It was a very busy and tiring day, but so worthwhile.  After helping out at church I got to go to a Christian rock concert with some friends in my small group.  It was amazingg.  I haven’t been to a concert like that since November, and I had forgotten how much fun they are. 

And I got to try the new Wendy’s Oreo Chocolate Frosty.

Wow.  I love weekends.
